Wow! That’s quite a list.
Do you have the ESV Children’s Bible? I’m planning to get it for my boys but I think they still may be too young.
We have several picture Bibles written for preschoolers and we also have Arch Books that the boys seem to like.
I haven’t read many “man” books, but I have liked Not Even a Hint by Josh Harris. I have Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross but I never thought of it as a family worship book. That’s a good idea.
I do recommend John Piper’s The Pleasures of God which I recently finished. It’s not really about parenting although it does touch on that subject among many.
And for fiction, I highly recommend Peace Like a River by Leif Enger.

Abby has an ESV Children’s Bible we got her the Christmas she was 3 years old. It is pretty well beat-up now, but she loves it. I had to battle against giving one to her when she was older so she could keep it a “nice, clean” Bible. But we got it for her, even though we knew it would get pretty mangled, to give her an early love of having her own Bible. We wanted her to see it as a book that is worn out because of lots of use and love given to it, not something that is put on a shelf to be kept pretty. She takes it with her so many places. She loves to just sit and thumb through it and it is a joy to me to see that. We do our family time in the morning and then also read to Abby and Elijah from the Bible at night. So at night we use her Bible. The reason we went with the ESV is because Joe and I both read the ESV and we memorize a lot as a family, as well as during homeschool time for Abby. So we wanted her to begin memorizing verses that she could keep with her for her whole life.
LOVE “The Pleasures of God’ and just read “Peace Like a River” last month and could NOT put it down! Thanks for the extra recommendations!

Hi Erin. I just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed your Parenting Journey series. You obviously put a lot of effort and thought into each post. Your honesty and forthrighness are apparent and appreciated and even though you could have used this as a soap box, you were never didactic or preachy. You were humble and informative, thoughful and thought provoking. Much appreciated. Great job!
